Sizing Help By Breed
Sizing Your Dog
Chest:
Measure around your dog’s chest at the widest point. This is generally directly behind the forelegs. Chest measurement is particularly important for properly sizing harnesses.
Neck:
Measure around your dog’s neck at the thickest point right above the shoulder. Make sure it’s not too tight to allow for natural movement. The collar should not be able to slip over your dog’s ears but there should be enough room for you to fit two fingers underneath the collar.
The breed standard measurements for collar size (and in some cases chest sizes) are shown below – but please be aware that within a breed there can be much variation in physique. If your dog is over or under weight the collar size is likely to be different than below. The sizes listed are the typical measurements for pure bred dogs. Sizing may vary depending on your dog’s age, weight and sex, as males are generally larger than females
Please only base your selection on this chart if you are confident that your dog is a typical size for the dog.
